High gold prices do nothing but increase our jewelry prices--making it more challenging to do business. Unlike gold investors, I'm hoping the U.S. dollar will rise and gold will head back into the 600s or lower! But I think more than anything, what jewelry manufacturers want is stability--about as much as they want lower gold prices! It's a different worldview from the jewelry industry vs. the gold market.
