It's very interesting to learn it wasn't that long ago jewelry became accessible to the middle class, and <em>vice versa</em>. What more, we could safely assume fashion/costume jewelry was introduced precisely for the society's new class. At least now we know something: not only about the origins of fashion jewelry, but more importantly about an important aspect of our society's history. It is! It’s very interesting to learn it wasn’t that long ago jewelry became accessible to the middle class, and vice versa.
