It is important to know the gram weight of your gold chain (the amount of gold in your chain).

Once you have the gram weight of your gold chain, divide the price of the gold chain by the gram weight to obtain the price per gram.

Example B: A gold chain weighs 11.0 grams and is priced at $325.00. $325 divided by 11 = $29.55 per gram.
