When shopping for a CZ Ring, there are several types of CZ rings to choose from in terms of quality and believability. 

The first type is the more common, "cast" CZ ring, which is the cheaper, less "realistic" type of CZ ring that you typically see in most jewelry stores. In order to keep costs down, these types of cz rings often use lightweight, lower quality ring mountings in order to make them more economical.

The second type of cz ring are hand-set CZ rings. For this, a quality, substantial ring mounting is used that was originally crafted for use with a natural, authentic diamond. Whereas a "cast" cz ring comes out of the casting machine already pre-set, a "hand-set" CZ ring is set by an expert diamond setter or gemologist. This is, of course, a more expensive method of setting, since each ring is given individual attention and time, but when creating a realistic CZ Ring, this is the only method that should be considered.     

In addition, just as there are different diamond qualities and grading, there are also different types and qualities of cubic zirconia stones. At Apples of Gold Jewelry we spend a little more expense in the actual cost of the cubic zirconia stone itself in order to set our rings with as realistic a diamond simulation as possible, so that the cz ring will difficult to to distinguish from the real diamond ring.
