The Unity Wedding Band signifies two halves coming together in eternal union. The meaning behind this band is timeless and significant in today’s age. Also available in 18k gold and as a platinum and 18k gold wedding band. Each half is permanently soldered together.

Hammered Wedding Bands will always endure–with their versatility in design and rugged good looks. Apples of Gold has taken this to the next level by infusing 2009’s popular metal–rose gold–in their Rose Gold and White Hammered Wedding Band.

Available in a wide 8.5mm (shown) and a 7mm two-tone gold celtic band. Also available in 18k gold and a platinum and 18k gold celtic wedding band. Paisley Wedding Bands are a tour de force in 2009 with their elegant, beautiful scroll work. The Paisley Engraved Wedding Band has a deep-etched paisley design in 14k white gold. Also available as a rose gold paisley wedding band and 14k yellow gold paisley band. Priced at $525.

Would you like some diamonds to go with that? The Handcarved Paisley Diamond Wedding Band exhibits sheer magnificence in design. Band measures 10mm wide and is oriced at $1,125.00.

Titanium Wedding Bands continue to excel in fashion circles and alternative trends among and are among the top choice of precious metals for wedding bands. The downside had been that most titanium bands were very standardized, heavily machined and often plain pieces.

Apples of Gold breaks the mold with its Blue Titanium Celtic Wedding Band of intricate woven patterns and rich colors. Prices at a mere $250 for aircraft grade titanium!

Christian Wedding Bands are among 2009’s latest fashions with faith-inspired rings that are no longer cliché. The Jerusalem Cross Wedding Band from Apples of Gold is fashionable and strong in meaning. Also available: The 14k white gold and 14k rose gold Jerusalem Cross Band. Another favorite Christian ring:  the Song of Solomon Bible Verse Wedding Band (with custom full-length Scripture engraved on the inside). Priced at $525.00.

The Braided Wedding Band is a permanent fixture within the halls of wedding ring fashions. Stylish in 2009 and well into the future, the braided band is truly an enduring classic. The Wide Braided Wedding Band from Apples of Gold is available in 14k white gold (shown), 14k yellow gold, and as a platinum braided wedding band. This is a quality, substantial piece priced at only $425.00.

Square Wedding Bands are not only fashionable, and masculine, but they break the mold of the traditional circle-inspired wedding band and place a little modernity within our midst. Brushed with a fine satin-finish and measuring 6mm wide, this is a quality, substantial ring weighing approx. 13.0 grams of 14k white gold! Also available as a platinum square wedding band. Priced at $475.00.

Finally, we come face to face with the wedding precious metal of the year: Platinum Wedding Bands. Platinum prices have declined approx. 60% in the last year making 2009 the year to buy platinum jewelry! Platinum bands are not just plain platinum bands either–with versatile design platinum wedding bands, there is a plethora of choices in 2009!

Wedding Bands: Modern Simplicity

December 18, 2008 by Yelena Jenkins · Leave a Comment

In an industry that became completely extravagant and over-the-top, more and more couples are calling for a return to simplicity. What started in the 1980s with cupcake dresses, 20-inch bridal bouquets and poofy sleeved fuschia bridesmaid gowns is thankfully becoming subdued. In its place, a more modern wedding industry aesthetic is firmly taking hold. This trend is even evidenced in the most symbolic of wedding icons: wedding bands.

In lieu of flashy engagement rings, many brides are opting to save the money for a down payment and stick with a simple, modern band instead. Other brides are wearing their engagement rings up until the wedding, at which point they are switching the engagement ring with their wedding band instead of stacking the two together. The elimination of the traditional engagement ring has become even more prevalent with the current state of the economy. Money-conscious couples are often cash-strapped or feel guilty splashing out on expensive diamond engagement rings. The option they turn to provides an easy yet impactful way to save thousands of dollars.

Our modern, simple rings are ideal for couples who are looking for high quality, reasonably-priced wedding bands. More than ever, now is the perfect time to buy: with gold and platinum prices at their lowest in years, big savings are guaranteed. If you are just starting your search, make sure to take a peek at the following styles:

Comfort Fit Wedding Bands

November 20, 2008 by Afshin Yaghtin · Leave a Comment

What exactly are comfort fit wedding bands?

The inside of a comfort fit band has a slightly rounded shape that forms more comfortably around the ring finger and does not pinch like a regular, flat band.

Comfort fit helps you quickly become accustomed to wearing a ring, even if you’ve never worn one before.

We especially recommend comfort fit bands for men who are not accustomed to wearing rings. Once  you get used to wearing a comfort fit ring, it’s hard to tell that a ring is even on your finger!

Sizing a Comfort Fit Ring

It is important to get measured professionally for a comfort fit band. Often, you can actually go down a 1/4 or 1/2 size when wearing a comfort fit band. So if you are normally a size 10 in a flat band, a size 9 1/2 or 9 3/4 may actually fit better.

However, this is not always the case and the most accurate way to obtain your ring size is to get professionally measured by 1 or more jewelers and by letting them know you will be wearing a comfort fit ring.

When available, try on an actual band, rather than using a ring sizer.

If you cannot for some reason make it to a local jeweler for sizing or want to have a general idea of your ring size before heading to the jewelers, a good place to start is our free ring sizer.

Who Invented Comfort Fit Bands?

While the majority of Apples of Gold Jewelry wedding bands are made in the comfort fit style, it is interesting to note that Benchmark Rings originally invented the comfort fit design, which later became the ultimate wedding ring standard among high quality jewelers and consumers alike.

Apples of Gold is an authorized Benchmark Wedding Band Dealer.
