In 1830 in the Ural Mountains of Russia, when Czar Nicholas II was just a boy, an unusual and striking gemstone was uncovered. It was unique in that it had vivid hues and it changed color depending on the light. Because its red and green colors mimicked the military colors of Russia, it was named after the young heir apparent to the throne.

Our beautiful teal colored Alexandrite gemstone stands out in grandeur in these elegant cross stud earrings in 14k white gold. The pretty, small white crosses measure 7.29mm by 5mm (5/16″ by 3/16″) in size, and at the bottom of each cross is a real Alexandrite stone, with its arresting teal hue. The stones look eye-catching against the white gold of the earrings so that they are elegant without being ostentatious. It’s hard to make Alexandrite gemstones more beautiful, but when you center them on 14k white gold stud earrings and surround them with white diamonds, you’ve created a winner. The gorgeous earring set features a deep purple Alexandrite in the center of each cross, each rated “AA.” The diamonds, which are set into the remainder of the cross, total 0.06 carats of diamonds.
