Jewelry about the Holy Spirit Dove 

In the Gospel of Luke, the Holy Spirit is pictured as coming down like a dove at the Baptism of Jesus. Luke 3:22: “And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”

All three blessed Persons of the Holy Trinity were present: The Father spoke out of heaven, the Son was there in human flesh in the Person of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form in the shape of a dove upon Jesus. God is One God who exists in three distinct Persons.

And this picture of the Holy Spirit descending like a dove is a beautiful picture that manifests the comforting grace of the Holy Spirit. Elsewhere, in the Gospel of John, 14:26, the Christian believer is told that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter who will teach us all things and bring all things to our remembrance, according to the Word of God: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

This is reassuring to the Christian, who lives on earth, awaiting the redemption of his or her body. We have Jesus, the Word of God, in our hearts, and the Bible, the written Word of God, in our minds. And it is the Holy Spirit, pictured as the Dove, who quickens God’s Word in our spirit and brings all things to our remembrance as He guides us into all truth.  Even in this, the Triune nature of the Godhead is working together to bless the Saints!
