Beautifully made plain Orthodox cross pendant for men crafted in a classical, simplistic design in 14k solid gold.
The Orthodox cross has the traditional shorter straight arms at top representing Pilate's inscription of INRI and the slanted arms below representing the two thieves on the cross who were crucified with Jesus, one who was granted entrance into heaven by faith and the other who spurned God and was denied salvation. The slanted arms represent the scales of justice, depicting God's eternal decree of holiness and righteousness respectively on the two crucified thieves.
The overall height of the cross, including the hoop and bail, is 1 9/16" tall x 7/16" wide. The cross by itself without the bail is approx. 1 5/16" tall. The pendant has a total weight of approx. 2.26 grams of 14k solid gold. This is a flat, solid cross.
