10 Positive Affirmations For Christians

Life can get so busy and overwhelming, our emotions can run wild, and we can feel out of ease, and out of control at times, but we need to remain focused on our faith in God. We must understand we can feel confident knowing that God will always be there for us, and provide for us, for we are His children. Our faith can help us get through anything and everything, as long as we truly believe. Here are 10 positive affirmations that you should look over and remember each day in order to get you by, and strengthen your faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

1. I AM LOVED

John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You are loved. Never forget that. You are a child of God, and nobody can pluck you out of God’s hands. God sacrificed His one and only son for us, for all of us, on the cross. Jesus Christ died for our sins, so that we may believe on Him. He loves us and cares for us.

2. I AM FORGIVEN

Matthew 26:27-28: And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Because of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross, we are forgiven. Remember that. Our debts have been paid for.

3. I AM A CHILD OF GOD

Galatians 3:26: For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

When you become saved, you are born-again, and become a child of God. You are grafted in as the spiritual Israel. Being a child of God is the most precious and prestigious title and honor there is.

4. I AM A NEW CREATION

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We get a clean slate, a fresh start, as we become a new creation unto God once we are saved and become born-again. We have been blessed with a second chance, that enables the things of the past to be put away, as we embrace our new journey as a Christian.

5. THE HOLY SPIRIT DWELLS WITHIN ME

1 Corinthians 3:16: Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

We have the Holy Spirit dwelling and burning inside of us, that allows us to be guided to do God’s Will. We have the protection, guidance, and passion from the Holy Spirit to get us through the day, to get us through all things in life that we face.

6. GOD IS MY HELPER

Psalm 121: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

God is our helper and our provider. Remember this, especially during times of doubt or despair. Give it all to God in prayer, and allow Him to handle it all for you. Trust and believe.

7. NO ONE CAN PLUCK ME OUT OF GOD’S HAND

John 10:28: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

No matter what happens, no one can pluck you out of God’s hand. You are sealed until the day of redemption, so rejoice and be glad!

8. GOD HAS A UNIQUE PURPOSE FOR ME

Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

If you are struggling with what to do in life, what is your purpose, or what is the meaning of this all, read this scripture and reflect upon it. God has a plan, and a unique purpose for us all! He hasn’t forgotten about you, neither will He depart from you. Have complete trust in God knowing that His ways are above ours, and we are better off for it, rather than doing our own thing that goes against His Will.

9. I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE

Psalm 139:14: I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

You have been perfectly and uniquely made in God’s image. You are special. You are worthy. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and are a child of God! Hallelujah!

10. ALL THINGS WORK FOR GOOD

Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

Although we do not know the future or what lies ahead of us, we do know that we have an omnipotent and omnipresent God who knows everything about us, past, present and future, and through this, everything will work out for God’s glory because we love Him and want to obey Him and follow Him and His purpose for us.
