What is a lab made alexandrite?
This is a genuine stone made in a lab vs. made in nature. It is different than a CZ or cubic zirconia in that it is not fake or an imitation but a genuine albiet man-made alexandrite with the same characteristics and properties. From the Chrysoberyl gem species, the colors of the stone often change depending on lighting, exhibiting a medium to dark greenish blue changing to a medium violet red.
